When you are trying to take your child’s temperature it is extremely important to get a fast and accurate reading. If you are a parent or caretaker, you know that this is not always the easiest task, especially with a sick infant or toddler.

ReliefCare’s forehead and ear infrared thermometer can be used on everyone from newborns to adults. I really love that the thermometer can be used two different ways, as an ear infrared thermometer or as a digital forehead thermometer.

To use the thermometer as the forehead thermometer simply touch it to your child’s forehead and press the button. You will hear a beep and see your child’s temperature. To use the thermometer as the ear thermometer remove the probe cover and gently place it inside your child’s ear.

I love that the thermometer doesn’t just give you an accurate reading but it lets you know if a temperature is too high. If a fever is detected, the thermometer uses visual and auditory cues to capture your attention. Temperatures above the normal range will trigger a series of 6 short beeps and a red light on the screen. Temperatures that are considered normal will produce a long beep and a green light on the display.

The thermometer can store up to the last 25 readings, allowing you to easily track your child’s temperature so you can let your doctor know how the fever is progressing without needing to write anything down. It has a bright LCD screen that allow you to easily read your child’s temperature without having to turn on a light which could wake your sleeping child. The thermometer also has a silent mode.

The thermometer comes with two “AA” batteries that are required to operate, a green carrying bag to keep it safe from dirt and dust, and an instruction manual. You can purchase your own Digital Forehead and Ear Infrared Thermometer from ReliefCare now on Amazon!
